With so many games available, it can be overwhelming for beginners to decide which one to start with.
In this post, I will introduce titles that I highly recommend every Nintendo Switch user should try at least once.
< The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild >
First up is *The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild*. Right from the start, we're dealing with an exceptional game, commonly referred to as "BotW." This game comes highly recommended for all Nintendo Switch users.
The Zelda series has a long history, but among them, BotW is arguably the most polished.
The game begins with Link waking up with no memory, learning the memories and skills of the heroes from four villages to defeat Ganon and save Zelda. With its vast map, numerous mini-quests, solid storyline, and high degree of freedom, BotW is indescribable in words.
A sequel, *The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom*, has also been released, but I recommend starting with BotW. For those who enjoy it, the sequel is also worth playing.
<Animal Crossing: New Horizons>
This game gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's a game about living day-to-day life on a virtual island, creating your own space. If you enjoy decorating, you're likely to love this game.
It syncs with real-world time, offering a variety of events and detailed items that add to the fun.
Personally, I prefer fast-paced games, so my playtime isn't as long compared to other games, but it definitely has a large fan base.
<Mario Kart 8 Deluxe>
Mario Kart is an incredibly accessible game that anyone can enjoy. It reminds me of the once-popular KartRider, but with more maps, characters, and items that add to the fun. Especially since luck plays a bigger role than skill, it's a game that beginners can enjoy alongside veterans.
If you're looking for a game to enjoy with friends or family, this is a must-have.
<Super Smash Bros. Ultimate>
This game is a classic fighting game but stands out because you can use a wide variety of characters from different Nintendo franchises. For those who have played any Nintendo game, the familiarity with the characters will make the game even more immersive.
<Pokémon Scarlet and Violet>
Lastly, there's the Pokémon series. The most recent release in the series is *Pokémon Scarlet and Violet*.
Pokémon games typically come in two versions. While the story is almost the same, the available Pokémon and some NPCs differ between versions.
The Pokémon series is one of the long-standing franchises, having reached its ninth generation, and it continues to deliver enjoyable experiences to its players.
